As early as 4600 BC . BC gold was processed in Mesopotamia, the Egyptians had the first gold mines and in China around 1100 BC already paid in gold.
Between 600 and 500 BC. King Krösus ruled in today's Turkey and mined gold there.
We still associate this name with immeasurable wealth.
